Lunchtime Suggestion: Sneaky Pete’s –Have you Heard of It?

Launched in March of this year, Sneaky Pete’s is a new, non alcohol beverage company.  And according to all reports, the company is just killing it. Distribution is in full swing and its contract manufacturers are actually managing to keep up.

Already on the shelves at major grocery retailers throughout the country, the company’s overnight success story is realizing a dream for the company’s founder and CEO, Pete Stilianessis. And why not? Given our First Lady’s agenda, our First Mayor’s (Bloomberg) war on individual liberty (did I just say that?) and the media’s fascination with all-things-fat, you have to wonder what took so long for a product like this to surface.

The founder is not only realizing the American Dream, but he’s doing it while immortalizing his family’s 100 year old beverage recipe. Pretty neat stuff. Sneaky Pete’s exploits an obvious niche in the beverage world –in a market where no one thought any “niches” still remained. “With all the concern over soda’s negative effects, Sneaky Pete’s now fills a much desired place on supermarket shelves, as it isn’t just empty calories filled with sugar, but a great tasting nutritious beverage.”

At just 40 calories per serving, the oat-based product satisfies our minimum need for daily fiber without artificial colors or flavors. It provides a heart healthy soluble fiber content equal to an entire bowl of oatmeal. The product comes in several fruit-based flavors. Personally, I’m waiting for something healthy that tastes like beer.
